The BIG CIC is not a revenue based organisation. It is a not for profit volunteer based organisation, run off the goodwill of our members and friends.
So far, our goal is to keep the BIG CIC a free resource for all that want to use it, and there is absolutely no charge. Please remember – this is the CIC – it is not for profit – https://big-cic.org.uk/about-us/
We have therefore tried to keep our expenses very low, and have relied on a few Funding Sponsors to pay for things like graphics, content review, and basic company expenses.
It has been nearly a year since we went live with our BIG CIC website that enables us to share all the material we have created – as volunteers – through our Business Integrated Governance Community. In that time we have:
- Shared the Business Integrated Governance Body of Knowledge – https://big-cic.org.uk/body-of-knowledge/knowledge-outline/
- Provided many, many thought-provoking posts on the LinkedIn Group – https://www.linkedin.com/groups/13651399/
- Registered over 710 members in our LinkedIn Group
- Registered c 100 members
- Created and shared a core presentation for all to use – https://big-cic.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Core-Presentation-1-22.pdf
- Provided a services taxonomy which provides the backbone ‘how to’ guide – https://big-cic.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Services-Taxonomy.pdf
- Developed an exam which provides an initial credential – https://big-cic.org.uk/membership/exams/
- Recorded a Core Presentation and Shared on YouTube – https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLo1WPH5ee-6m23AhdktPWytjXZVG5BraW&si=8WUHS-cV0O0VNmFr
- Supported presentations with leaders from our constituent professions including strategy, governance, product management, portfolio / programme / project management
In other words, there has been a lot of output shared with this community.
However – we do have recurring expenses, and we have asked our Members and friends to support us cover our basic running costs.
We would like therefore to recognise and say thankyou to the following cash donors – who kindly gave us some cash to “To develop & share thinking on Business Integrated Governance as a means to connect from strategy to delivery more effectively”
